Shipping policy

Effective date: January 1, 2026

Embroidery machines and supplies travel very differently. A machine is crated on a pallet and moves by freight; thread and backing move by courier. This policy covers both.

1. Where your order ships from

The FJ-1001 and the 15-needle FJ-1501CS ship from our US warehouse.

Every other machine model, and all thread, backing, needles, hoops and accessories, ship from our factory in Shenzhen, China.

We confirm the origin of your specific order in writing before it ships. If you need a particular origin for a particular reason — lead time, import documentation, or a domestic-only delivery — ask us before you order.

2. Processing time

Supplies and accessories are dispatched within 3 business days of payment clearing.

Machines depend on stock:

  • In stock: dispatched within 3 business days of order acceptance.
  • Built to order: allow 15 business days from order acceptance to dispatch.

We tell you which applies to your order before you pay, and we confirm the dispatch date in writing. If your order includes a configuration we build to your specification, we confirm the date before work begins.

Orders placed on weekends and Chinese public holidays are processed on the next working day.

3. How machines travel

A FUJA machine ships crated on a pallet and moves by freight, not by parcel courier. Practically, this means:

  • We arrange the freight and send you the booking reference and tracking.
  • The carrier or their agent contacts you to arrange a delivery appointment. Someone must be present to receive and sign for the shipment.
  • Delivery is to the kerb, or to your loading dock if you have one. Moving the crate into the building, through a doorway, or up stairs is the buyer's responsibility.
  • Standard freight does not include unpacking, positioning, assembly or removal of packaging.

If you want the machine delivered inside the building or to an upper floor, tell us before you order. We can arrange it. It is quoted and charged separately from the freight, and it is cheaper to book in advance than to add on the day.

4. Shipping costs

Shipping for supplies and accessories is calculated at checkout based on the destination and the weight of your order. You see the cost before you pay.

Freight for machines is quoted per order, because the cost depends on the destination, the delivery point and the model. Ask us for a quote before you order and we will give you a figure, not a range.

5. Transit times

We quote transit time per order rather than publishing a single number, because it depends on the destination and on whether the model ships from the US warehouse or from Shenzhen.

All transit times are estimates. We are not able to guarantee a delivery date, and we are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs processing, weather or other events outside our control. If a delay affects a date you have committed to, tell us — we will work the problem with the carrier and keep you informed.

6. What you need at the delivery point

Before a machine leaves, we confirm with you in writing what your delivery point can take:

  • A loading dock, or
  • A forklift on site, or
  • A liftgate truck for a kerbside drop.

A crated FUJA machine cannot be unloaded or moved by hand. Crated weight and crate dimensions vary considerably between a single-head machine and a multi-head machine, so we give you the exact figures for your model in writing before dispatch. If you want them earlier — to check a doorway, a lift, or whether your site needs a forklift — ask us before you order and we will send them the same day.

Plan how the crate will get from the kerb to where the machine will stand. Doorway width, corridor turns and stair landings usually matter more than total weight.

If the delivery point cannot receive the shipment as booked, the carrier may charge for redelivery, storage or a service the original booking did not include. Those charges are passed on at cost. Telling us about your site in advance is free; correcting it on the day is not.

7. Inspection and damage

This section matters more than any other in this policy. Freight claims are won or lost in the first ten minutes after the truck arrives.

Before you sign:

  • Walk around the crate and the pallet. Look for punctures, crushed corners, water staining, a broken pallet, or shifted or cut strapping.
  • If you see anything, write it on the delivery paperwork before you sign. "Crate damaged, left side, photographed" is enough. Do not sign clean and sort it out later — once a shipment is signed for as received in good condition, the carrier's liability is substantially reduced.
  • Photograph the crate from all four sides while it is still on the truck or beside it, with the driver present.

After you sign:

  • Report visible damage to us within 3 calendar days of delivery.
  • Uncrate and inspect the machine within 5 calendar days of delivery. Damage that was not visible from the outside — concealed damage — must be reported to us within 5 calendar days of delivery.
  • Keep the crate, the pallet and all packaging until the claim is resolved. A carrier or insurer may require an inspection, and a claim can be refused if the packaging has been discarded.

These deadlines are short because the carrier's own claim window is short. A report that reaches us after it has closed cannot be recovered from the carrier.

Send us photographs of the crate, the packaging and the damaged part, together with the order number and the machine serial number. A FUJA technician replies within 6 hours.

Damage claims are handled under our Return, Refund, Cancellation & Exchange Policy.

8. Supplies and accessories

Thread, backing, needles, hoops and small parts ship by courier. Tracking is emailed when the parcel is collected.

Large or heavy accessory orders may ship as freight. If that applies to your order we tell you before dispatch, and sections 3, 6 and 7 apply.

9. International orders, duties and taxes

We have shipped to buyers in more than 150 countries.

For orders placed directly on this site, import duties, taxes and customs clearance charges in the destination country are paid by the buyer. These are set by your government, not by us, and the carrier or customs broker will invoice you separately before or at delivery. We cannot estimate them in advance for every country.

If you need a landed-cost figure with duties included, contact us before ordering. We can arrange machine shipments on a delivered-duty-paid basis, and the quote will state clearly what is and is not included.

Refusing a shipment to avoid a duty invoice does not cancel the duty. It creates return freight, storage and re-import costs, which are handled under section 4 of our Return, Refund, Cancellation & Exchange Policy.

Some countries require import licences, electrical certification or other documents for industrial equipment. Checking what your country requires is your responsibility, but ask us and we will supply the documentation we hold.

10. Addresses and failed delivery

Freight address corrections and redelivery are expensive. Check the delivery address and the contact phone number on your order before you confirm it.

Once an order has been dispatched, an address change may not be possible. Where a carrier can make the change, the charge is passed on at cost.

If a shipment cannot be delivered because the carrier could not reach you, the site could not receive it, or documents were not provided for customs, storage charges accrue from the carrier and are payable by the buyer.

11. Risk of loss

Where you buy as a business, title and risk of loss pass to you when we transfer the products to the carrier.

Where you buy as a consumer, risk of loss passes to you when you, or a person you nominate other than the carrier, take physical possession of the goods.

12. Tracking

You receive tracking by email when your order is dispatched. For freight shipments you also receive the booking reference and the carrier's contact details, so that you can arrange the delivery appointment directly.

13. Questions

Email fuja11@fujacn.com and a FUJA specialist replies within 6 hours.

Ask before you order rather than after. Freight problems are cheap to prevent and expensive to fix.
